If your nephew never manually saved, then you can load the manual save slot and it should be your original save, but otherwise it is all gone. With two exceptions, the fuse ability is in my opinion worse than the bombs, and sorta ruin the game, but the reason for which is just way too subjective to be discussed right now. TOTK is just uncomfortably similar to BOTW in every way. All of that would be fine rly if it took place outside of Hyrule entirely. I get that most Zelda games take place in Hyrule but b4 TOTK, Hyrule was heavily reimagined each time.
