The non promo pricing for the gig plan for comcast was around $110 the last time I have had them. Add $25/mo to that to get rid of the cap. $135 total. AT&T's website said that they could only offer a plan for 18 Mbps (!!!) for my new address, and Comcast Xfinity said the best plan they offered was "up to" 50 Mbps. If your streaming 4K, that's different. A 4K Netflix stream uses about 25mb/s. So now your down to 2 streams. You'd probably want 100mbps if your going to be doing 4K streaming. You'll also probably want unlimited data for $30/month because if you do a lot of 4K streaming you'll probably hit the 1.2TB data cap.On cable you get a great pipe down but limited upload. With Fiber you get consistent variables of upload and download. Xfinity may offer 1000 down but only 200 up whereas fibers for the same offers 1000 up and down. The closer the upload and download speeds the least amount of latency is caused on your end.On the face of it, AT&T earns the crown for lower prices and fiber internet reliability.
